Dans un climat rappelant les sonorités électro-industrielles de Coil ou de Throbbing Gristle après leur reformation en 2004, ce premier opus de Chris&Me&Yuri consiste en un dialogue entre les expérimentations vocales de l’artiste plasticien Yuri Cardinal et l’univers électro ambient à la mélancolie surréalisante du compositeur Christophe Bailleau.

In a soundscape reminiscent of the electro industrial bands Coil and Throbbing Gristle after 2004, Chris&Me&Yuri’s first opus consists of a dialogue between the vocal experiments of the visual artist Yuri Cardinal and the ambient electro universe of the music composer Christophe Bailleau.

CHRIS&ME&YURI est un duo composé du musicien et artiste pluridisciplinaire Christophe Bailleau (Huy, Belgique) et de l’artiste plasticien et chanteur expérimental Yuri Cardinal (Quimper, France).
Originaires de Rennes où ils jouaient respectivement dans des groupes à la croisée des musiques cold wave et électro-indus de la fertile période 80’s, les deux artistes se retrouvent via les réseaux sociaux à la fin de l’année 2021.
Alors en cours de création, Christophe Bailleau invite Yuri Cardinal sur trois titres de son nouvel album "Shooting Stars Can Last", sorti sur le label Optical Sound en octobre 2022 et coproduit par Transcultures & les Pépinières européennes de Création.
C’est à la suite de cette première collaboration que les deux artistes décident de créer leur duo.

CHRIS&ME&YURI is a duet composed of the musician and multidisciplinary artist Christophe Bailleau (Huy, Belgium) and the visual artist and experimental singer Yuri Cardinal (Quimper, France).
Originally from Rennes (Brittany, France) where they respectively played in bands at the crossroads of cold wave and industrial electro music of the fertile 80’s period, the two artists have met again via social networks at the end of 2021.
In the process of creation at this time, Christophe Bailleau invited Yuri Cardinal on three tracks of his new album "Shooting Stars Can Last", released on the Optical Sound label in October 2022 and co-produced by Transcultures & Pépinières européennes de Création.
The two artists decided to create their duet just a while after this first collaboration.
